MLK Park Cleanup 2023

Trusted gives partners with the Buffalo Olmstead Park Conservancy each year to host a bi-annual park cleanup at MLK park. On October 12th, 2023 we sent two groups of volunteers to help with some fall maintenance at Martin Luther King Jr Park. The morning group worked on the area near the green houses and the afternoon group worked near the Brent Garden.

What we accomplished:

• Removed several bags worth of trash from the park and parking lot
• Cleared weeds
• Removed invasive tree species
• Removed berries from invasive bushes to help slow the spread into the park
• Trimmed bushes and trees
• Planted flowers
• Removed weeds from parking lot and sidewalks
