When: July 16, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

What: 716 CommUNITY Day is a day long celebration of community, health, and well-being in East Buffalo. Hosted at MLK Park, this event was aimed at providing vital resources and services to community members on the east side, including free hot meals, fresh produce, and health screenings. With a focus on empowering and supporting our neighbors and those in need, this event featured engaging activities and entertainment for children so that parents could explore the different organizations and tables featured at the event.

This event brought together an inspiring group of organizations committed to making a positive difference in the Buffalo community focused on community-building, empowerment, and fun.

What we accomplished:

  • 1000 Free Hot Meals
  • 1000 Bags of Fresh Produce
  • 800 Toiletry Bags Handed Out
  • 70+ Boxes of Clothing Donated
  • 1400 Bottles of Water Saved from the Landfill
  • 71 people trained in Hands Only CPR
  • 50 Bikes Built and Given Out
  • 130 Bike Helmets Handed Out
  • 300 Bags of Free Popcorn
  • 40+ Different Health ,wellness and human services resources at the event
